Our Story


Town Biscuits is our little family dream come to life.

Chas grew up with roots in North Carolina, where biscuits were always at the center of the table. Will grew up in the Bay, learning the rhythm of busy Oakland kitchens. 

We met working in a local spot, fell in love, and before long we were starting a family of our own. During Chas’s pregnancy, she constantly craved and dreamed of biscuits from back home. Soft, flaky, a little crisp; most importantly full of flavor and love. Since we couldn’t find them here, we rolled up our sleeves and started baking.

After months of trial (and a lot of flour everywhere), we created the recipe that felt just right. Now we’re sharing those biscuits with our Oakland community, the same way we share them with family.

We’re Different…

Quality matters. When it came time to bring our biscuits public, we had tons of decisions to make. Ultimately, we decided quality ingredients and labor forward creation is worth it.

We’re not here to serve you something we got delivered frozen off a truck. We’re here to bring you the best biscuits possible. Handled and sourced with care, no matter what, every time.
